Following a trail of clues as enshrouded as the islands’ volcanic slopes, Alton and Mallory face mounting danger in their race to recover Summit and track down the culprits who hope to suppress her work. Along the way, they discover that some facts—and some people—aren’t always what they seem.

This is my favorite Blackwell Files installment! Clever, edge of your seat drama set in a beautiful place. I enjoy reading this series because it is believable, without being too technical. Each character has interesting and authentic position in the book. This particular book had Alton and Mallory solving a series of crimes that entwined with each crime and developed as I read. I am ready for this series to be a television series. Very awesome stories.

Like the classic mystery writers like Agatha Christ's, this writer develops multiple characters and plot while keeping you guessing. Very believable settings, good pace, and ending you don't guess. Well worth reading.
This is an absolutely terrific book, full of mystery, suspense,
action and intrigue. There is not a dull moment in this story. Any reader who enjoys mysteries will enjoy this book, as it is totally enjoyable.
I really enjoyed this mystery. The characters were very interesting. The expanded group of people with their own baggage added to the investigation into the main case. A fast paced book that most mystery readers will enjoy.
A missing scientist with a major health issue must be found before it's too late. The Blackwell's and other members of the elite NSA team journey to the beautiful Galapagos Islands. What they find is murder, encrypted notes and mayhem. Can they solve the mystery before time runs out?
Very riveting book. Well written and super interesting. Never would have figured it out it. Was just convoluted enough to confuse! Really recommend.
Good suspence story; kept me interested through the the final chapter! Will recommend this book to all my mystery-reading friends !
Strange thing about the Galapagos islands is how many people basically know of the huge tortoises of these islands and very little else. I'm one such person. So it was with some anticipation I started reading this book. Learning of Santa Cruz in this story was therefore some eye opener.
More so was the basic plot where a research scientist doing ground breaking research into a cure for Alzheimer's using these very tortoises, disappeared after her lab was ransacked.
She was a very security conscious woman and her research encoded in such a way that even the NSA could not decode either her message to her husband nor her research notes. Enter Alton and Mallory and the funny stuff starts happening as the body count picks up and the intrigue hots up.
Another very good mystery that had my mind working overtime trying to second guess the sleuths, to no avail. Enjoy!
